I'm not a brake guru, but that's what Ken from K&S/wrxbrakes.com just told me single piston/floating = 2 piston fixed for brake bias calculations. 2piston is more responsive and less prone to fade, but that's academic on rear brakes.
actually, the brake guru has told me it's a fixed design, so not much improvement over the single floating LGT design. Lighter and cooler looking is about it.
38.1mm is the piston size. Now, the Q is whether they are a straight bolt on. Would be interesting to try it out. I'd like to get black ones....though some red ones and a rattle can of hi-temp gloss black is ok too
trying to find the info for '06 WRX rear calipers. Lighter than the LGT ones and possibly larger pistons....they use the same rotor. Could be a good upgrade for those with BBK's.
OMG! Finally caught up with this thread. I jokingly suggested this idea to some Mid-A people a year ago and they all gave me crap over it. I've had two aftermarket exhausts on my car and both were too loud. This mod is probably perfect for most drivers.
I found these last night and thought I would share....BBS RE in forged magnesium. 7kg each which is about 15lbs for an 18x8.5. Wonder what the price is?? Anybody know where I can get 5/130.0 hubs?

my wiring was Monster Cable.....color coding was all wrong. My brain was fried after doing other installs that day.....I didn't want to get it wrong, so I left it alone. I'll try to get it done this week.
I installed the wheel, but didn't fool with the wiring. My wire was color-coded differently, so I didn't feel like trying to make it work by matching up different colors that wouldn't correspond.
