  1. Its not that simple actually. The Bilsteins are MONOTUBE and the T ZERO's are twin tube. The Bilsteins run a LOT of gas pressure and the ZERO's very little. This combination means that in fact the Zero's are VERY close to the BILS in comfort even though they are that much stiffer. Monotube shocks tend to he SUPER responsive and twin tube slightly less responsive. Now before anyone runs with that, its not to a negative degree. Its just a difference that can be felt for the better for each side of this comparison. So even though there is a 100lb difference the way the Zero's dampen that 340 lbs is what counts and THATS where until someone drives a car with them, you really can NOT judge it. For the same reason well dampened race shocks with 700 lb springs on the street feel barely firmer than stock GT3 etc etc. In the monotube gas shock the gas prerssure helps to aid in "supporting" the chassis and THAT can "feel" like an extra 50-75 lbs of raw spring rate WITHOUT having to have stiffer springs. So what many feel in the BILS is really comparable to about 325ish lb springs. The other thing to consider is the ZERO's dont "focus" on low speed compression the way the BILS do. 2 different manufactures with 2 different approaches to damper design, valving and chassis control. So when you make low speed compression more compliant you can add in some raw spring rate. ( hence why the 340's in the ZERO's do NOT feel much if any firmer than the BILSTEINS). Thats it in a nutshell. Nothing is as simple as it seems ..........sometimes. Myles
  2. Well look at the Bilsteins "due date" debacle....or the RCE springs...... This time I kept it under lock and key until we were ready to release. Myles

  4. I really like your car ! If I had a 10gt it would look like that. Myles
  5. yeah and now I have a noise under there and I dont know what it is. BTW I am very good with finding/figuring out noises in the suspensions on cars. I lubed all of it once and it went away for 4 weeks. I am pissed. I dont get pissed, but I am. Once you get a good solid alignment and the car feels good and the steering wheel is straight....you are happy. This means swapping something and POOF,...there goes my perfect alignment. Myles
  6. My mods before this were: WL front and rear sways. WL front strut brace. Cusco rear strut brace. Kartboy front and rear endlinks. Bilstein HD shocks. Alignment is -1.8 front and -1.6 rear. Yokohama all seasons. 225/40-18. No comparisons between the two. No difference felt of noticed. My background is SCCA regional road racing, NASA road racing, IMSA Panoz series( 2 podiums), Drove ALMS Vitesse pace cars in 2007 and instructing since 1998. I did these 3 things at one time: front control arm bushings, adjustable caster bushings and KB pitch stop mount. This change was VERY noticable. The feeling of being "connected" comes to mind more than ever. Its more noticable than sways. You can instantly feel the front suspension A LOT MORE. The mid corner vagueness is now gone. Its like in a kart when you are searching for grip at the apex. Before this, mid corner at the limit your steering would get light in your hands and you felt like someone in the "feedback" dept was looking at a chic walk by with huge boobs !! Again, connected still comes to mind. The Pitch stop mount seems to tie things together mid corner when you check up per se. The extra caster means the car requires LESS camber to feel like its turning. The control arm bushings just plant the car better and remove the "sloppiness" of the stock bushings. Anyone here who has ever driven an Evo knows the feeling of being "one" with the steering. BMW like feeling comes to mind. WHY BMW?..well they run poop tons of caster like 8-9-10 degrees. C32 AMG also comes to mind. I will think about this more tomorrow. I have to head to bed. We did six 20 minute sessions in karts today. Drove 3 hrs there and 3 hours back so I am worn out. As for Group-N vs Whiteline? Did those on another 06 spec-b with SAME MODS a week later. Coin toss. Close your eyes and choose. Myles
  7. Done this already back in March. Tried the group-n AND the Whiteline. I have the WL control arm front and rear caster adjustable bushings on my Spec-B. Caster is now at 6.8 degrees and car is amazing. Myles
