  1. As far as inspection goes, I will be taking the washers off my exhaust. Should I change my protuned map back to the stock map for a regular Virginia inspection?
  2. ^ Its b/c you live in Jersey You gotta get away from that place. HAHA JK! You might just want to go pick up a new catback exhaust or see if your warranty covers that much rust.
  3. ^ All STI products....STI Intake, STI exhaust, STI uppipe, STI Turbo VF 39, FMIC, STI STS.....but thats just my opinion I personally wouldn't refer to my Legacy as an STI simply because I have mostly Cobb products The only thing STI that I have is the STS.
  4. This guy was riding in my car yesterday and asked me if this was a WRX or a Legacy. He said, "do you have aftermarket exhaust?" I said "Well, no, but its modified." To think, I spent less than a $1 and 20 minutes of my time. ha
  5. ^ I am curious, but with more spacers is it possible to gain HP if we have a Protune already? It would essentially create more airflow, right? My setup being, CAI, Catless UP, HF Catted DP, and (stock catback exhaust).....and a protune of course
  6. ^ awhp means all wheel horse power Most of the time, people on the street refer to their horsepower as crank horsepower. Unless they specifically say, "My car dyno'd at XXX to the wheels", they most likely don't really know and are going by factory estimates.
  7. STAGE 0: Nothing or panel/cone filter (250 crank hp, 190 wheel hp) STAGE 1: At least Stg 1 Tune, plus Stg 0. (290 crank hp, 220 wheel hp) STAGE 2: Stg 2 Tune + DP. (300 crank hp, 230 wheel hp) (way more torque than Stage 1 though STAGE 2.5: Tune + TBE + Headers/UP + Panel/Cone filter. (320-350 crank hp, 250-280 wheel hp) (depending on your mods) STAGE 3+: Start into intercoolers and upgraded turbos. (375-400+ crank hp, 300+ wheel hp) These numbers are approximate.
  8. I read your post again. nothing really funny about it though. ?? Your reference to fast and the furious wasn't in anyway relevant to what people discuss on here. A stage 1 legacy in a general term is a Legacy with an ECU upgrade. It doesn't really matter what "brand" you go with. Its a legacy with appromximately 220-230 whp. A stage 2 legacy is a general term for a legacy with ECU upgrade, plus uppipe/downpipe combo and runs arout 240-250 whp. The Fast and the furious was a moviie about racing, women, and getting your ass kicked (literally). What does our "general terminology" have anything to do with a movie such as Fast and the Furious. I think you are just taking things to seriously. But I guess we all have opinions right? To each its own I suppose.
  9. No offense, but you obviously have never heard of Cobb Tuning, TDC Tuning, or PDX Tuning, they all have stage 1 and 2 levels. Read up on the forums before you try make accusations that aren't true. This place is in no way the fast and the furious.
  10. You can pull the plugs out of the socket. Its harder to do though. DRL's suck. Its a waste of bulb light. You don't need lights on during the day. GAWD.
  11. All I can say is this: For my 06 LGT, I just unplugged the DRL to disable DRLs For my friends 07 LGT, we just cut the blue and black wire (then taped it up of course) on the DRL plug and plugged it back in and it works perfect.
  12. If I had a digital camera, I would have honestly. I think that should be on my list for xmas presents.
  13. I was quite mindboggled myself. Subaru really made things complicated for 2007. When I disabled mine in my 06, it was a matter of just unplugging the DRL plug. So much easier.
  14. You have to take the plastic piece off that is underneath your steering wheel. There are three plastic hangers. Two can be removed by a philips screwdriver. The third one, which is in the middle is just popped off. I did this last night on my friends 07 LGT. The only thing that you need to do is find the right plug it is the white one that is farther back and up. I just unplugged it and snipped the BLUE with BLACK wiring. I then taped up with some electrical tape. You just plug it right back in and your DRLs are disable. I think someone mentioned that you needed to cut both the BROWN wire and the BLUE and BLACK wire earlier. My friend and I just cut the BLUE and BLACK one and tested it out and it disabled the DRLs entirely.
