Well, your ECU is going to throw codes galore because you have more airflow and you are still running a stock map.

Putting washers between your exhaust flange and muffler will not cause a difference in spool. You might hear the spool at lower RPMs, but it won't change speed.

3/8's is correct, 12mm rachet, you will be surprised how much of a space those two little washers will make.....of course that in comparison to what its going to sound like....I get asked all the time if my exhaust is aftermarket I will soon be converting to an aftermarket CBE though...my power is somewhat restricted with the stock cbe

I have done 2 washers and I am running Protuned TDC Stage II mods. It was quite loud. I was wondering whether it would be a little bit less quiet with just 1 washer. I reverted back to stock for my inspection the other day. Will probably throw washers back on this weekend.

I had to take my washers off today so that I can pass inspection. What is the difference in sound with just 1 washer compared to 2 washers? just curious.....
