the 8mm spacers have to be trimmed at the edges because of the coolant crossover tube, and make sure you have the right length bolts. there are two different types of intake manifolds. also two sets of gaskets. I did it in about 45 minutes, and you don't need a lift.

D_J: lower temp air into engine equals more power due to more dense air charge. adding fuel mileage/power is the end result.

I think the larger the better. The combo front to rear is all up to your preference in driving. bigger in the rear for more oversteer, bigger in front for more understeer. my solid 25 front is similar to a 23 hollow, so it's softer than the rear. I appreciate the oversteer with the lack of power I have so it's not uncontrollable. besides, I want the car to turn when I turn the wheel. Understeer makes my pants messy. I grew up with rear wheel drive cars so tail out feels ok to me.

both legacies are push style. the only pull style are the 02-05 WRX, and 04-07 STi. not sure about 08+ STI. supposedly an 06-07 WRX clutch setup will fit with some modification. like throwout bearing/clutch fork. don't remember the details exactly.
