  1. I broke one of my knuckles in pretty much the same way. Also welded up my own swaybar reinforcing brackets, total cost was about $15.00
  2. Buggered up a rear wheel stud being in a hurry and had to replace it. Broke the passenger side front knuckle extracting the balljoint, had to wait a week for the new one to be delivered. Completely assembled and mounted one of my front struts before I noticed that I didn't put on the bumpstop and dust boot, complete R&R, also didn't get the bottom bolt completely seated on the Koni strut insert, complete R&R again. I can now do a R&R on a front strut in about 30 minutes start to finish.
  3. Just make sure that you clean off the rust from the knuckles thoroughly so that the HBA seats correctly. The gap between the wheel speed sensor and the back of the hub is critical. The WSS is a proximity sensor, if it's too far from the back of the hub then it doesn't sense the notches on the reluctor ring as they pass by the sensor.
  4. Amazon, Sept 25th it was $35.00 with free shipping. Looks like the price has gone up to $54 and change...
  5. I just finished the first 1000 miles on a Detroit Axle front hub on my passenger side. No issues. Good deal for $35.00 delivered.
  6. Coastal salt air? Lack of the normal fine covering of oil? Bad luck? I've always looked at the scoop and wondered what kind long term issues I'd get with sucking in rain and road mist for 9 months of the year...but you're right, I don't have as much rust as yours shows. Did/does it sit for long periods of time between being used?
  7. Still got the spare tire well in the back? If so maybe cut it out, patch with a flat piece and then you'd have room for a cooler aft of the rear diff in the space formerly occupied by the spare tire well. Never mind...I see that's where your fuel cell is. Any issue with moving the diff oil cooler into the back and mounting a fan on it?
  8. 12ga copper wire interrupted gasket...about 1/4 of the diameter of the gasket is open. Sounds just right.
