  1. Sunday sightings in SF SWP LGT sedan near Marina Green @3pm BSM LGT wagon at Crissy Field @4pm. Tinted all the way around, had some dents:( Wife, dogs, and I were in the Jeep. We are staying in the RV at Pacifica for a couple of days, and drove into the city Sunday.
  2. I've heard of the shadier dealers doing this. Then they sell the ECU to someone out of warranty for full price.
  3. I think if you can still communicate, it's your old ECU. My dealer did try to reflash before changing out my ECU to fix the fan problem, it f****d up my RT, and I had to reflash just the RT that time.
  4. Luckily, my dealer has not said anything about my Hogzawst. However, the SM did say some really nice things about my shiny 3" full length catted DP. Go figure;)
  5. Exactly what mine looks like, except made out of steam boiler gasket material. I did bevel the edges at the exit into a more bell shape. Thicker is better, IMO. You lose more then 50% of your opening with this method, so I made it up by going thicker. Looks good....
  6. I went from two thicker washers to my custom gaskets. It got a tad quieter, but I think that was from blocking the top so the exhaust wasn't hitting the floor pan. It really woke up when I put on the 3" full length catted DP. It is a joy to keep in 3rd gear and run it up and down the RPM range.
  7. My cut gasket method has about a 3/8" gap in the flange, but I used some pretty thick pieces of Garlock when I made them up.
  8. Just curious, and hopefully won't be flamed, but why the difference between Legacy and OB ECU's? Also, you list an 06 Legacy turbo mt wagon..........
  9. so is speeding, my full length DP, re-flashing the factory ECU, etc......... no preaching:rolleyes:
  10. Good question. I was thinking similar things after I had a boost issue coming home from a track day. My thoughts are anything that adversely affects the ECU could do unknown damage somewhere else.
  11. I can't really argue with you on this, but... My service manager told me that it was a good thing that I can in early in the recall, as he is having trouble getting the ECU now due to a backorder. Don't know, or care, if that's true. I gots mines!!!!!
  12. New ECU installed today. Un-married in dealer's lot, flashed new map just after leaving dealer. No problems. Service manager is mad b/c SOA did not allow time in the warranty for key re-flashing.
  13. Looks like I'll be taking all of my keys to the dealer next week. Relay 1, ECU 0 When I told the service manager that I needed to know before they changed the ECU, his reply was very favorable;)
  14. Methinks recall is recall, regardless of warranty coverage.
