Checking in on these...how are you looking for the new sets with correct length pieces?

Hey Chris - thanks very much. I have the banding tool and am going to do a couple other things at the same time (like take care of the blue T under the intercooler. I'll let ya know when I get the kit.

I'll be patient and hang on until you have more kits made with correct length rails. I get nervous around words like 'probably'. Plus, if the rail is too short, will the band hold it as securely and rattle-free? I really appreciate that you are making these. You are saving so many of us so much worry!

What a cool insider tip! And I have a good parts guy at a dealership if I need to go that way. So just the stock replacements but for the 01-04 models? Excellent! Or - did I misunderstand you and it should be aftermarket KYBs, but pretend I am buying for an 01-04 model?

Yep - I have the tire element handled. But since I may be looking at replacing my current shocks, I thought I'd get prepared to make it an upgrade instead of simple replacement.

Thanks for the confirmation. However, why would I want to go with a bit of a drop? I have purposely stayed away from lowering to keep the stock suspension travel for comfort. Wouldn't firming up the shocks but keeping 'calmer' spring keep the comfort/performance compromise i am going for?

Hi All, I am getting some pretty good clunking and stuff from my corners and I am thinking it is time for new shocks. (Checked sway bars, etc. all good and tight) These are KYB G2s which are now about 80k miles old. I am thinking of going with the KONI yellows, sticking with my stock springs. I want some cornering and overall control performance but need to keep the ride mostly comfortable. Thoughts? Advice?

Thanks for all the info and helped me diagnose this issue on two of my doors. However....the pics and walk-throughs are like those cooking shows where the food is magically complete. I took care of the rear door just fine but getting the latch mechanism out of the front door, around the window track was ridiculously difficult, even with removing the bolt low on the door. What am I missing? You all seemed to pop it out with no problem at all. I still had to muscle it out and around - and wound up snapping the plastic where the door handle lock engages. So now I can't unlock my car from outside. The new part is on the way but it sure would be nice to know how you all were able to remove the latch mechanism from the door so easily!

a couple to report: Thursday (4/30) evening, a white wagon. we got on I80 East together. Looked a bit lowered and badges removed. Maybe headlights upgraded. and today - silver sedan caught in morning traffic together on I80 West - red Rally Armour flaps, exhaust, and looked like old style "2.5GT" badge. The 2.5 was smaller and gold, not all chrome like stock.

Friday morning, a two-spot: black sedan (2005?, tinted windows) leaving Starbucks on Antelope then onward to 80 towards Sac; then further along 80, a 2007 ish brown sedan, totally stock.

05 White Wagon in my wife's office parking lot in Rancho Cordova yesterday. Exhaust, de-badged although many decals on the rear window, wheels, Brembo brakes, tinted windows.

On Monday 10/13, headed up I-80 from Roseville to Auburn. Had a silver sedan behind me until I exited. Roof rack, after market wheels and exhaust.

I have all the correct tools but just gettign to the screws/nut heads on the driver's said is pretty much blocked off by the battery. I was hoping someone had a technique I am not seeing for accessing those screws without moving the battery.

Hi All, Any hints on how to get to the alignment screws on the driver's side? It looks to me like I am going to have to move the battery. I'd rather not mess with that if I don't have to. I know I have to move the air clearner stuff on the other side. Thanks, Sean

Two spotted yesterday in Sacramento: Silver 05/06 sedan, filled with family at Sunrise and Greenback. A bit later caught a white one in my mirror heading down Greenback from Sunrise. Also back at the beginning of March, spotted the twin to my wagon heading out of the Woodcreek High parking lot after school - waves were exchanged.

This morning getting on I80 East in front of me at Riverside Blvd.: Dark Silver/grey, 5th gen with Invidia exhaust. Arizona plates TURBOLGT I wavbed but their windows were morning misted so I couldn't see if they acknowledged.

Keep seeing a White 98ish wagon in my area around Antelope and Roseville Road - black wheels, tinted windows, rally type lights on the front - even has the JDM side marker. Nice looking wagon!
