Happened to me yesterday. This was the second time. I dunno if this did anything but after pushing up and down on the button, I pushed it "forward". Sort of where the rocker hinge is towards the front. The switch worked after this.

Ditto me but, then it started working just fine.

Just in, '06 OB LTD, replaces '97 OBW LTD. Sad, the '97 was still a puppy but, keeps the wife quiet since my '05 Legacy was new in Jan '06.

Supposedly, Toyota extended the extended warranty, past 150 K, 10 years. I got 165 K before a $3 K engine rebuild (a second one, the first was covered by Toyota) made me decide. Not sure if the second extension is true. Even so, the Legacy is a lot more enjoyable.

Sludge is a known problem on ~'97 era Camrys which, is why I now drive a Legacy (as opposed to waiting a few more years!).
