Its from a JDM Spec B. I had found Gen 5 engine/transmission combos for a lot cheaper, and would have gone that route if the engine was an easy swap.

Thanks for the responses. I just got an 07 sedan this summer and it now it has rod bearing noise. Pulled the oil pan, metal in the pan and play in the rods. Decided to go with an EJ20Y motor and 6spd transmission. There seems to be some disagreement on the feasibility of this swap, but looks like there have been enough successful swaps.

I should have been more clear. I am talking about the ej255 in the first couple of years of the BM.

Has any one tried installing a BM (5th gen) engine in a BL? I haven't seen any information on anybody doing it. Are the engine mounting points different for the BM?
