axis008
eavr4 sent me a document which had a how-to with pictures on how to convert the JDM Spec. A to Spec. B front end. I took the document and put them as images. The quality of the images isn't that great because I didn't want to hog any bandwidth (although it is a lot, but it could be worse). It seems like it's been translated from a site with Babelfish, because not everything makes sense. But hopefully this information can prove useful to whomever that wants to know. -ben

IwannaSportSedan
have to agree with DM here. The Spec A with an STi Lip spoiler is probably the best looking stock subaru bumper. Daft US market differences. I still think a good aftermarket bumper would be one to emulate the lower intakes on the 05 Audi S4. Imitation is the highest form of flattery. eavr4
eavr4, did u take a US model and put a new bumper on? if not, can we do it?
Hmmm....Wat I understand is the US model though looks similar to JDM model, there are slight differences in the bumper screws...but frankly dun think its too much of an issue Well...am gonna mount Spec B STI lip to Spec A... axis008
I think the difference between the JDM and USDM basically is the bumper beam. Once you have the JDM bumper beam, you should be okay with any JDM bumper, aftermarket or not. -ben
Alex1
ok well im thinking and leaning towards getting a legacy in February and i really like the jdm bumper and hate the US one i need someone to test it out or tell me exactly what i would need to do, im so confused now lol

GoSix
I'm still thinking about ordering one. I have to check the "toy" budget in January after this whole xmas season is over. Give a man a beer, and he'll waste an hour. Teach a man to brew, and he'll waste a lifetime.
Flamebo
I wonder if there are any replica kits out there for the Spec B bumper and the JDM rare bumper! if so that would save lots of cash and still have the same look!

Some replicas are bad, others are acceptable. If all possible, I'd stick to the real thing. :)
Flamebo
Yeah, thats true. But the real deal calculating it, with all those parts needed to do a replacement seems hard, and I think it'll probably be hard to locate a Spec B bumber.

I guess maybe I'll get my dad to get it from HK haha and Hand carry it ova back haha that should save some shipping fee, but I'm sure the customs are gonna be all over him! Btw are there ones with like no scratches? hehe... Yea so are there actually JDM rare bumpers that are going for sale as well? I think the reason why the USDM rare bumper is bigger, is cause of the extra safety bar or something added right?
