Strange overhead rattle, ideas?

I cant exactly bitch to the dealer about this because it only happens when my sub is thumping. At particular low frequencies the headliner area around the sunroof control makes a rattle.. I was thinkng of taking the control panel off and putting dynamat around the area.. any other ideas?

Mine does the same... just further back.. by the dome light.

I bet it's a wire hitting the bottom of the roof. Dynamat or some foam should do the trick.

Either that or foam rubber to fill the void. Dynamat might be easier, though. My 2 cents.

Has anyone solved this? I thought it was my B Pillar but found it to be in my headliner.

Do you have the auto-dimming mirror? It is probably the cheap plastic wire cover that runs along the windshield behind the mirror itself. Mine rattles from time to time.

Mine had an awful squeek (sort of a rattle, more of a squeek). Turned out to be the sliding sunroof cover, the tracks were dry. I sprayed some bike lube in there & haven't heard it again.

MIne seems to be more in the back of the car. Its more like a metal to metal sound.

Im beginning to think im going to have to invest in some dynamat, i dont think any car should be expected to be rattle free when faced with two 12" JL W2's in a sealed box..

I got one too. It only happens when the shade is back. Haven't been able to find what is loose.
