SpawnGT
Be prepared for some rust depending on where you live. i stopped using my xo2 cans, but the Mid and Y-pipe on are still XO2
specialB
so your saying its not stupid to spend $250 on ebay for a full cat back? Hey worst comes to worst i need a new pair of cans. i'd still pay that much just for the mid and Y pipe.

ebondragon87
Just finished putting the exhaust on and test driving it. If you are expecting anything loud then I wouldn't buy this setup, it does give the car more of a rumble but its very calm. The center pipe is 3in and the y-pipe reduces each side to 2.5. The overall construction is not too bad, some of the flanges are hand made not cnc but everything fit where it was supposed too and it uses all the factory hangers. It came with new hardware and gaskets all of which I used except the gasket from the downpipe to the center pipe (I just reused the doughnut) and the bolts to connect it to the downpipe. IF you are using the factory downpipe which I am, then you will need different bolts. So far I have not heard the exhaust hitting anywhere on the under body. Overall I'd say its worth the $250. Here are some pics. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff253/ebondragon87/IMG_0131.jpg How it was packaged. Not the best. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff253/ebondragon87/IMG_0132.jpg Cans and center pipe. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff253/ebondragon87/IMG_0133.jpg All of it. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff253/ebondragon87/IMG_0136.jpg Old exhaust Vs. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff253/ebondragon87/IMG_0138.jpg

BigInALegacy
definitely looks exactly like the X02... let us know how the fitment is. FWIW - if you don't know what X02 is, search the group buy thread.
JohnnyGT08
I noticed your box says "0506" is that a model number, or the years it's supposed to fit? AFAIK, there's no difference between yours and an '08, is there? Also, do you have the link from ebay from who sold it? I'm a little interested... NEVER ARGUE WITH A STUPID PERSON. Strizzy
I just bought this exhaust, should be here tomorrow. I'll take some pics of it during the install and post them up. Did the photos of the CBE show with or without a resonated mid-pipe? The only CBE's I see for $250 shows non-resonated (I don't want loud). m sprank
Here is a link to an active sale; http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Subaru-Legacy-GT-05-07-Dual-Catback-Exhaust-Hi-Power_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp4634Q2ec0Q2em14Q2el1262QQhashZitem414930bfeaQQitemZ280400805866QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories I bought one of these after seeing this thread. Arrived 2 days after ordering. Box says Legacy 05-06. I installed it on an '08. Mine looked just like the previous photos, box/packaging, everything. The flanges are CNC. The piping material is a little thin and not all the bends are true mandrel. But I spent about 30 minutes with some Blue Magic before install and the damn thing shines nicely. For the money the material and welds are good. The kit also contained all needed hardware and gaskets. Direct fit replacement. All hangers, flanges, etc. lined up fine. I have a Cobb catted DP and was able to use the stock donut gasket and stock bolts and nuts to install to the DP. Used the supplied hardware for all other connections. No fighting, hammers, crowbars or gorilla work involved. Was pleasantly surprised by how well it actuall lined up. The tips stick out past the bumper similar to the Prodrive cans. The tips hang lower than stock in the cutouts, but the piping and cans hang no lower than stock. The tips are off center a little too. Both tips are a little to the inside of the cutout. Not too bad since they are both in the same spot of the cut out. The sound is good. Nice low note. Not too droning at highway speeds. I have an SPT too and this note is slightly more mellow than the SPT (the resonator helps). My wife likes it so much I am leaving it on the car. My mother is the only one to complain so far. Took her to dinner and had her sit in the back (just for a test). Sure enough as soon as the car started she makes a comment. Fot the $250 plus $80 shipping this is a DEAL. It is definitely an X02. It even shipped from the same town X02 is in. With the shipping it was still cheaper than anywhere else. Worth every penny! Will probably rust on the East Coast, but not on the West Coast. m sprank
Yes, no resonator in the pic (don't buy from pictures on eBay), but the kit does have the resonator. it is the new version from X02. The kit HAS a resonator.
JohnnyGT08
Dang...I'm tempted. What's the best way to "weather-proof" an exhaust? Is there a way? I'm in Kansas, we don't get a ton of snow (we get mostly ice), but when we do they throw down the salt THICK. NEVER ARGUE WITH A STUPID PERSON.
