dedma3au
Hello. After my 05 lgt was stolen finally got replacement. 05 lgt as well. Drives nicely, no codes etc. My wife drove it mostly last week, and I just did cobb stg1 this weekend. Drove it today a bit and I noticed that when I stop sometimes it almost stalls. Tend to happen more if I come to complete stop, hit gas for second and stop again. Doesn't do it often. Also I notices intake is louder when turbo spools then my previous lgt. Also sound of recirc. Valve is louuder. Should I check for air leaks or something else ? If it does have leak somewhere, how would that affect any reading that I can do with accessport ? Had vac. House leak in previous one, but this time it doesn't happen always and it is not that bad. Thanks.
I Donated Too sigmafour Posted June 10, 2013 I Donated Too Share Posted June 10, 2013 yes. do a boost leak test and find the hose that's popped off.
CDubbs
A quick and cheap way to check for a vac leak is to: -pick up a can of carb cleaner -while idling, spray a short burst in different areas around the intake tract If the engine revs higher, you are near the leak. Some folks have leaks that are only discoverable on a cold engine, but more often than not it's a loose hose or one that is completely off. No, the name has nothing to do with bragging about 20 inch wheels...
