Best bet would be AZP Installs (they are in NJ but they are THE BEST). http://azpinstalls.com/ Otherwise try MR Performance in Westbury. http://www.mrpbuilt.com/
Wagon Man
just got off the phone with AZP..... they said they wont do a head gasket on a DOHC motor, which is kind of upsetting they recommended a motor swap....but i dont even know what i would swap into it
Perscitus
Ah, darn. Well, if AZP said so... they had to have good reason. They don't shy away from almost any job on all Subarus. Another place to try in Long Island City (although its not a Subaru specialist) is LIC Auto Repair (Purves Street, Long Island City, NY 11101). http://www.licautorepair.com/ Good guys. AZP Installs
just got off the phone with AZP..... they said they wont do a head gasket on a DOHC motor, which is kind of upsetting they recommended a motor swap....but i dont even know what i would swap into it By swap we mean a replacement salvage yard motor. The cost to do the HG properly on a DOHC motor outweighs the cost to just pull the motor and drop in a salvage motor these days. -Mike Paisan AZP's First Private Track Event, June 19 at NJMP Thunderbolt $315 including Classroom and Mentor! http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/145749898/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://www.whiteline.com.au/images/logos/perf1.jpg 11+ Years Maintaining, Modifying and Educating TriState Subaru Enthusiasts. BX77
Nothing Fishy about AZP. I know in My business there are certain jobs I turn down, Because I know It won't come out right, for what they are asking, or want to pay. and I will go back 1000X and never make them happy, and at that point I hate to poke fingers in peoples eye and say I told you so, (I would love to) So there must be a reason they say just replace the whole thing! take it from experince.
