Bassnectar
I am planning to order some parts to quiet down my exhaust. Currently have 3" Up and down pipe connecting to a 2.5" Magnaflow catback with a little cannon on the back. It is to loud, and being catless kind of stinks. I want to add a Hi-Flow cat probably a Vibrant Metal Core, as well as a Vibrant ultra quiet resonator and a Borla Proxs muffler. I have a stage 2 tuned ej205(Wrx) engine in the 1998 legacy gt, it begins spooling in the low 2000's and I don't want to destroy much of that low end boost I am wondering if you guy's think its worth it for me to go to a full 3 Inch exhaust which will create less backpressure than just chopping and welding components into the magnaflow catback. If I stick 2.5" I can potentially use the magnaflow muffler in place of the vibrant resonator to keep costs down, and it will not need new piping so is a much cheaper option. robitrice
u do not need 3" unless you have a turbo that is pushing that much exhaust. there will be little gained if you do go 3"
