Boost_addict Posted May 21, 2013 Share Posted May 21, 2013 First time pulling and re-installing the engine in my OBXT. Almost done though. Can anyone confirm for me that the lowest right-hand mounting bolt (below turbo) on the 5eat is the same length as the other bolts (the one directly above the stud/nut)? I just got the engine back in the car after a few week wait and I can't remember if there is something here I'm missing. This bolt (circled in picture) seems about an inch too long. Vacation pix doesn't tell me anything useful and couldn't find the mounting bolts in the part diagrams. Thanks! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Boost_addict Posted May 22, 2013 Author Share Posted May 22, 2013 Ok, I'm stupid. The bolts fit fine. The aluminum block just requires about 3-4x the thread engagement that I'm used to on steel/iron blocks. It torqued down just fine! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
