This is my daily car and i dont plan to launce it "hard", but i have no clue what exactly a hard launch would be. What RPM range should i be in to conservatively launch? Any predictions on a time I may see Friday? I'm excited to see what she does and to know it'll only get better as i improve driving her!
lee07
Time trial, you don't have to go right away, Rpm to launch at, it's up to you but just do it like this Don't drop the clutch, release it somewhat slowly but not to slow. Drag it for about a car length and then drop it and pedal to the metal, just remember to shift. Shift near redline, 6000 or later and not any sooner unless you want a slower time Drop the clutch too fast or you'll bog it and already lost, Drop too slow and you'll smell it all the way down the track I Had several 1.7 60ft my first time out by doing that. Drag it for about a car length I predict mid 13s at around 100-105mph since it's your first time with several/many 14s High 12s/low 13s then you are a good driver for it being your first drag race Good luck and have fun. I'm done with drag racing or at least for my car.

Brett
don't dump the clutch and make it hop. lift the clutch abrubtly or even drag it a little. hold the rpm's at around 5k. 12's should be obtainable. 13's in hot weather
