otar
It is painted? I may dip it a different color in the spring, but no plans for real body work and paint for quite some time. oh, I thought you were going to get everything painted one color when you finished up, my mistake. Car still looks awesome! haha
yaya20
I'm not opposed to it. But I'd rather spend the money elsewhere for now.

vicdeng
is there anything else needed for the bumper install? did you get the bumper from yahoo japan? If so, how much is shipping?
yaya20
is there anything else needed for the bumper install? did you get the bumper from yahoo japan? If so, how much is shipping? You need the bumper beam with it. I got it from yahoo auctions Japan, but had it shipped over in a buddy's container so shipping was very reasonable. The bumper/lip/beam in mint condition was about $120 (+ shipping) .

The bumper/lip/beam in mint condition was about $120 (+ shipping) . thanks, i was on buyee, and it said for bumpers, it required oversize shipping cost, which it is ridiculous, to give an example, it was like $1000 for bumpers. but it never give a real estimation. For the bumper beam, i am assuming you mean the metal piece and not the foam piece, correct?
yaya20
Yes, the metal piece. The jdm does not use the foam. If you use a service like buyee or Japanparts shipping a bumper will be about 1000.
vicdeng
thanks, i found one i wanna buy, it does come with the bumper beam, is there anything else i should be aware. is it plug n play or does it require any mod? How about the fog light? do i just need to unplug the USDM one and plug in the JDM one? Thanks I have a 03 Legacy btw.
yaya20
I thought you were talking about the rear bumper... In that case you don't need the beam, just remove the foam piece from your usdm bumper. I don't remember if the fog plugs were the same or not, but I had some waterproof 2 pin connectors and used those. Pretty sure the bumper should be plug and play as long as it's Rev. A-C. If it's Rev D then your lights and Grill may not work.
Akord
awesome build man, very inspirational. I'm trying to pick up a JDM legacy with a blown engine so I can slap it into my wagon. Lots running around up here in Canada
yaya20
Thanks. I'd love a jdm tt setup, but I also like my mileage and running 87 octane. Lol Pic from last week... Got a few new to me parts on the way too. http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll301/rj_yeamans/BH5/uploadfromtaptalk1417017233038_zps22d44d86.jpg

I'm still in the process of deciding if I should pick up that JDM wagon for parts, but I think there's a hippo sleek rear spoiler on it. I love your grill and the front and rear lip tho! yaya20
Nice. I'd be inclined to use the jdm shell as more parts will be a direct fit. Most of the parts I get from http://www.auctions.yahoo.co.jp
