pleaidestar Posted April 30, 2013 Share Posted April 30, 2013 The only good thing that comes from the kbb is that when you go to purchase a NEW car and you want to trade yours in for it the dealership will pay you that money for the down on a new vehicle, which in my experience buying new vehicles is a trap...I sold my 95 civic to put my wife in an 08 tiburon back in 2009, the dealership payed 2800 towards the down payment...I was just glad I had the D16y motor it came with stock, I took my b18c out and sold the motor for 3k to buy my Subaru. twisty Posted April 30, 2013 Share Posted April 30, 2013 my mom was going to trade in her camry, they offered her 3000 for it. 54k miles, 7 years old and barely touched. she sold it private for 6400 and paid cash for the new car. back in the day i traded my 79 chevy stepside with many problems infor a 90 astrovan. they actually gave me 2500 for it, even without a carburetor and 3 frame cracks. 200k on it also, lol. i doubt they got more than 600 for it at auction.
