Hemingway
Need more information to be able to help you. Are they always on, go on then off after the engine starts? The battery warning light generally points to a charging issue as you pointed out. If it comes on after you've been driving or stays on after the engine starts, check out the alternator belt and ensure it is in good condition, not slipping and properly tensioned. Alternatively, have the alternator output (and battery) tested by a garage (usually a free service). The brake warning light comes on (or stays on after ignition) if there is a problem with the braking system: leaving the parking brake on, low brake fluid level, leaking brake fluid, worn brake pads or something else related to the braking system. Of the two, I would be most concerned about this warning and would look to get it fixed ASAP. Gotta have brakes!

DGR81
Found out it was the alternator. Went to Autozone to test it and it failed completely. Got a new one for 130.00. Now to put it in.
