gergeek
Common 4EAT Problems & SolutionsTorque BindThis is probably the most common 4EAT problem. This is the transmission getting stuck in a 50/50 power split now allowing for slippage in the center diff. Its usually caused by a faulty Duty C solenoid, however can sometimes be cured with a few "drain and fills" Car is having issues shifting, is it the Duty C, or something else? pleaidestar
I have looked into this a little bit too, I have been having issues with my tranny as well but I can't find part numbers or even descriptions on that part...I'm probably going to the dealership to see what they say about it. johnegg
the duty c has nothing to do with the auto trans shifting. but there are other solenoids that are involved. do you have a flashing AT Temp light at start up? what is your trans doing? the duty c can be found at http://opposedforces.com/parts . drill down in your model year, engine, and trans. then look under the auto trans section at the ''extension housing''. it comes a an ''valve assembly'' and you will need 2 identical gaskets for the valve body.
