archer1.8
120K Miles Cobb OTS stage 2 for 5,000 miles. 5EAT When I am in 3rd gear (only 3rd gear) and I do a pull from 2500 RPMS to redline, around 4900 RPM the revs stop for a second and then continue. Its like a dead spot. It does not feel like transmission slip. The trans shifts like butter everywhere in any gear. Its just in 3rd gear it has this problem. If I load the engine up however in 3rd gear from around 3,000 RPMS it wont do it. Also if I disconnect the battery, and I do a pull it wont do it, however on the second pull it will. So am i pulling timing, or is the 5eat really showing signs of wear?

archer1.8
I wish i could. I am using a v1 accessport. I am in the process of reading about vag com cables, tactrix is a little to pricey as of right now.
06silvarubiLGT
Yea the Vags work good, its getting romraider to work with your operating system and not having too much "noise" in the system.. I think strizzy may be able to help you out a little better, I think he had a hell of a time with his RR and VAG
archer1.8
just bought a vag com.......while a wait for it to come...can i use my Torque app to help narrow it down. It shows timing advance, Mass air flow voltage
archer1.8
been digging around and it seems that my problem is more of a tune issue. I also noticed I have a huge exhaust leak post turbo at the donut gasket. Could this be part of the problem? Vag Com cable is on the way This is not my video but my problem is similar at around 14secs. At 5,000 rpms the revs stop (his stops WAY longer) mine is more of a stutter [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzcgCnW12_U]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzcgCnW12_U[/ame]
06silvarubiLGT
almost shit myself, then realized kmh.. The timing advance might not be a bad thing to look at in the mean time, it would narrow down if the car is pulling timing
