theferrisjuggalo Posted February 7, 2013 Share Posted February 7, 2013 can anyone out there give me some advice ,my 03 legacy non turbo will crank over acts like it wants to start but then wont ,it getting fuel,its getting spark, ok this is wht happend,im driving and the timing belt tensioner bolt broke the engine died,i fix all tht new bolt new belt i set the timing according to the book, note:i have had the engine in and out of the car 7-8 times,never had an issue befor with timing,ive allways hit it on the frist try so i pretty much know wht im doing i go to start it and it cranks over and even got it to fire up a cupole times but i had to give is gas to fire up,both my cranksaft postoin and camsaft posetion sensor are now on, is theese motor (clearence motors )wht dose tht mean,and dose any one think it bent a vaulve when i crank it it pop and bangs and backfires ,from the intke not the exshuast is it the timing or a vaulve,or both dose anyone know???????????
