A new addition to the family (non legacy content inside)

I just purchased a '13 STI sedan today! The car is quick, and a little sportier than my 07 2.5i. I really wasn't making any definite plans to buy a new car, but it truly was a right place, right time, and right price kinda thing.

A little sportier than the 2.5i?

What did you do to that thing that it's only marginally worse than the STI?

 I guess that was mildly sarcastic. I wish I had more pics, but I dont pick it up til tomorrow. Its killing me.

There wasn't, to me, another vehicle in this category I

would personally choose over an STi.

Well, I was more interested in a WRX limited in the same color which the dealer originally had, however, when I went back to check it out, this car showed up the day before. Its the only one they were going to get allocated, and there is a 4-5 month wait if you order one. So, it was try to work out a decent deal or let someone else buy it, so I pulled the trigger.

The car is dirty as all getup in that pic too, it just came off the truck, and I still love the color.

The list is too long since it includes quite a few that would be CPO for the price of a new STi.

I'm always curious, please indulge us with a few examples.

I cannot find anything in the same or similar category as the LGT. This includes mod potential and general performance.

There are a few that are nice that I wouldn't feel bad owning like a C-Class, VW CC, etc. but the moment I attempt to nail the throttle mid apex (or anywhere else for that matter) I'd be dissapointed.

Fixed? Only interested in what NEW cars you would rather have in the same pricerange.

A base model BMW 335i would be on the list. Even though I know that a base model 335i is practically unobtanium made of unicorn hair, dragon balls, and pixie dust.

I would also seriously consider a Ford Mustang with the 5.0L V8, maybe even a BOSS 302 (assuming you can actually get one at sticker...:spin:).

The new slightly revised Camaro SS with the 1LE package is supposedly quite a track animal in the price range as well.

So, today was the first time Ive seen the car in the daylight since last Sunday. Looks just as good as I remember. Crappy day today but that didnt stop me from taking her for a joyride.
