XT6Wagon Posted July 30, 2005 Share Posted July 30, 2005 Well the brakes don't suck that bad. With STi rims and tires on my LGT I could brake as hard as the STi I was following.... ONCE. Plenty of stopping power with plenty of fade and what kind of felt like warped rotors. pulsating pedal but no lateral shaking of the car. On a trackday I was plenty safe even for a 20 minute session as long as I managed the heat load on the brakes. did mean I had to brake earlier than most people, and couldn't push on a couple of the "straights" that were the transitions betweeen corners... but in the end maybe that was good as early braking let me practice taking the correct line in many sections as I would have the room to enter and exit at my desired speed, not whatever the car ahead could do.
