kevinlman Posted December 1, 2012 Share Posted December 1, 2012 Hi guys, I have a 2006 2.5i wagon (Canadian) I just installed a viper 5701 everything works fine. I am looking to hook up the rear defroster and wiper defrost. I have extra outputs from the viper system that I can use to switch a relay. My question is, does anyone know where I can find the wires? Or maybe point me to a wire diagram? And does anyone know how it runs? (+ or - trigger?) I've been searching but I can't find what I need. Any help would be appreciated. Neltech Posted December 2, 2012 Share Posted December 2, 2012 **** I just did this on my 05 last week but I can't remember what it was. Its a latched output from the BUI, i'll get you the plug/wire connector tomorrow. its a negative trigger. this will not turn on the light on your dash but it will turn on the defrost and mirror defrost. windshield wiper defrost is a seperate wire all together. and remember, you'll have to program your 2nd status (blue/white) to defogger if you want to use that wire to trigger it with the thermistor on the brain. Sorry for all the questions mirrors are the same wire I have access to DEI Direchtechs, Alldata, and Mitchell If you have a multimeter you'd see this wire go and stay at ground once you push your defrost wire.
