Mbayse
just got this 2001 legacy L after my dsm ate shit, 5 speed 147k miles had a bunch of stuff recently done by the previous owner but most importantly cylinder heads headgaskets and timing belt. It has almost no rust and is bone stock. just changed knock sensor, exhaust gasket and did a little exhaust patching and got it inspected today. So, i know these engines don't get much power gain but I really want to get a little bit more acceleration out of it so i plan on a CAI, should i go short ram or in the fender? and also what else might give it a little power that is moderatly cheap to do? otherwise i'm going all suspension sways struts etc. Thanks http://i48.tinypic.com/34noego.jpg http://i50.tinypic.com/w13gw3.jpg
987687
That car does look really nice and unmolested. You said it yourself, you're not gonna get any extra power out of it. All an intake will get you is more noise. If that's what you're into. yay. Stock is already a cold air intake because it sucks air out of the fender. If you put on a short ram you'll be getting more hot air. I don't know why anybody does that. Just make it handle well.
