silverone Posted September 16, 2012 Share Posted September 16, 2012 hello to everyone , I have an unusual problem ,the other day I had the option of swerving into on coming traffic , or running over a deer carcass ! Well I took the deer , the animal had been hit many times so I thought I could get over it . Wrong! The only damage was to the (y) pipe if that's what its called , man those pipes are lower than I thought ( my 1st subaru ) they need a skid plate jmo. But that's a topic for another day. Ok to the point , is there a header out there that would bolt up to the stock exhaust ? Would it be worth doing ? Or should I just get a stock y pipe from the bone yard ? grovlet Posted September 23, 2012 Share Posted September 23, 2012 I went with a Speedy Racer Header on my 98. I did spend the time to wrap it with DEI Titanium Wrap. FYI - you/shop will most likely have to Helicoil a few exhaust studs I then went to a local Exhaust Shop and had them build a Cat Back with a High flow Cat & MagnaFlow Muffler.
