coppertone
So how do you like the change of going from a 3.6 to a 2.5 ? Nice sets of wheels by the way. 2010 2.5GT limited is for sale.
L3go
The 3.6R was a Premium model and the 2.5 is a Limited, so I'm enjoying the extra niceties. As far as power goes, the 2.5 is more of a cruiser. The 3.6R will wail if you punch it. It's such a sweet engine. I got my speed jollies with my past 3 WRX/STI's, so I was ready for better mpg's and a more comfortable commute. GTEASER
These are the ones that I have being shipped to me. TSW Mirabeau, right coppertone? I was looking at these in black with polished lip for mine. I think that will work well with the SWP. Can't wait to see those on your car!! Work seems to have a lot of 5x100 19's available, which I'm in the market for. What's the damage for your 18's? Their online store has prices that are absolutely terrifying. faded-a-fool
19" wheels in general are more $$$. There is a big jump in price for tires as well.
Ellesedil
I understand they're more money. But when more money means "3-4 thousand dollars", that's freaking scary and no longer "well, the wheels are 1 inch longer in diameter". That's why a frame of reference would be nice. GTEASER
I will be sticking with 18". Less money for rims, less money for tires (or same just better rubber), less weight of wheel, less weight of tire, and if I curb it, I won't be screaming about f-ing up a $700 wheel. Compared to how much for a similar 18" wheel? 600? How much money does moving up 1 inch cost? That's what I'm trying to find out.
faded-a-fool
All of the 19's that fit our cars and look good to me are forged and cost almost $1k for 1. If we had more options I'm sure I'd be able to find something cheaper. Just not a fan of big spokes or chrome and that is all I seem to find
Ellesedil
So, far, I've seen 2 wheels in 19x8.5 with a 5x100 bolt pattern that I like. I'm not sure about other details on fitment, so I need to do more research (which I'm finding difficult to do). I'm not really paying any attention to other widths. TSW: Nurburgring (Town Faire Tire quoted me about 2 grand for a set of 4) BBS: CH (580 - 610 each according to BBS USA's website) Enkei doesn't really have anything in 19x8.5 5x100, which is too bad. Work has some options, but the aforementioned prices are ridiculously expensive (although I haven't done more research than just a quick glance). Edit: I thought the BBS CS-5 came in 5x100, but that's incorrect. Too bad, too, since its was the wheel I've liked the best so far. faded-a-fool
Initially I was looking at Prodrive GC-014i...no one has them locally and would need to order from Japan. $4k+ for wheels is too much for me.
