solidkevlar
will 225/50/17 winter tires fit my legacy with stock rims?
whitetiger
Its too tall of a tire. 225/45/17 would be better

krzyss
You are in uncharted territory. They may fit or they may not, probably not. There is no way to tell without trying. Krzys
whitetiger
Odds are they will rub the front strut lower spring perch.

BAC5.2
They should fit. 225/55/17's clear Bilsteins with a 17x7+48 wheel. The 50 series will be shorter, and gain you a few mm clearance. Will they fit an STi? It would almost definitely fit both generations. whitetiger
^the key element here is the +48 wheel which brings it away from the front lower spring perch. if you are trying to do it on the stock lgt rim with a +55 offset, it may rub. BAC5.2
Stock LGT wheels aren't +53? Strange. Drift Motion
+55 2011+ WRX wheels are +
whitetiger
+55. that leaves very little inboard clearance near the lower spring perch to go taller. now im not certain that a 225/50/17 wont fit using the stock rims, but the overall side wall is 16mm more more with that size than the stock 215/45/17.
