warnoldscu
After having a poor exhaust shop butcher my exhaust from the downpipe back I took it to someone else who did a very clean job. I have a Crucial UP, Lachute DP w/ HFC (3" all the way) mated to my custom exhaust (3" to 2.25" after the Y), which is painted black. The tips are 4" round and the mufflers are magnaflow... check this thread out for sound clips if you want...pics below. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?p=239496#post239496

nd4spd
since i know the owner and he is at work i will jump in. the shop charged him $250. damn good deal if u ask me. P.S. looks sexy by the way!!! i love it!
JGR
VERY nice! I did the magnaflow's as well and I love the grumble. After about 7 months now it's gotten a tad bit more throaty. Mine sputters and pops a little when I let off the throttle at low RPM's, personally I like it. Does yours "pop" a little? Also, can you take a snapshot of your y-pipes for me? Thanks! -JGR

warnoldscu
Just to clarify... the original exhaust was done at another shop.... 500 bucks. the final shop that fixed the piece of crap job the original shop did charged 250 for labor only, but the parts were all bought from the original shop. I think 500 for parts/labor for this is about standard, but I learned the hard way - check the shop's previous work to make sure they're not hacks! Glad you guys like it...me too! I'll get the y-pipe snap tomorrow (night time now), I tried before but I couldn't get a good shot with my crappy camera

warnoldscu
Actually I didn't ask them to paint it black, the shop just did it - mostly for looks I'm sure. Anyway, I really like the look... it's not like you can see those pipes at all from behing the car... all you see is the tips, which is perfect for me.
