JLW7123
I am going to be getting coilovers soon for my legacy 2.5i. I was wondering g what you guys have on your cars and what to stay away from.
Dujo
Stay away from ISC Street Sport. Much too firm for a DD. ISC Street Comfort may be better, but no direct personal experience. Heard good things about the BCs. Again, no direct personal experience though. Honest opinion: go with a spring/strut swap (something like koni/epic or bilstein/pinks) plus sways or something similar. I think you need to really spend on coils in order to get a good ride. The handling will likely be there even on the cheapies, but thundering along on the bumpstops over even moderate bumps will rattle your teeth out. Okay for autox. No good for DD. Expensive coils do better, but who wants to spend $750 - $1000 per corner unless you track your car. Enjoy! p.s. Welcome to LGT.com!
Dujo
Here ya go. This guy tells you all you need to know about coilovers. And he has pinks for sale if you decide to go that way. Enjoy! http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/feeler-ny-bnib-jdm-pink-springs-191786.html?t=191786
