Visualrinse
Hi all, Got a new to me '09 Subaru and considering some mods. Most are aesthetic, but on the topic of performance: A couple questions... Will installing a K&N air intake require ECU reprogram? Will installing a new performance exhaust like a Borla require ECU reprogram? Will these mods void a warranty? Visualrinse
Any input from of the experts here? I know my questions are pretty pedestrian, but I could use some input. If the cat back says it's 7-10% boost, and the filter is 14.9 HP (http://www.carid.com/2009-subaru-legacy-air-intakes/kn-air-intakes-typhoon-series-324597.html) What does this do to a 2.5i? 170 + 14.9 + (170*.10) 199? Just curious on how the calcs work.

tLewis7
Welcome Visual. Probably not much action to your questions because legacygt.com relates primarily to the forced intake Legacy. However, check out the naturally aspirated section in the technical forum. There are several threads on the first page that should help answer your questions. This affords a great opportunity to get together with others with more experience to bounce ideas off.
