EssTeeAai
So I picked up a set of these... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v702/ACCORDing2R/stiseat1.jpg 2011 STi seats. Some quick research concluded that they should "bolt right in" into my 2005 Legacy sedan. So here's the issue I'm having so far : My driver's side seat belt mounts like this... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v702/ACCORDing2R/stiseat3.jpg Right into the floor/bottom of b-pillar. But my passenger side seat belt mounts like this... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v702/ACCORDing2R/photo.jpg Into the seat itself. The STi seat looks like this... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v702/ACCORDing2R/stiseat2.jpg So how do I mount the seat belt on the passenger side?? Also, supposedly the air bag plugs are all different. (I haven't tried plugging them in yet). Has anyone successfully modified the wires/plugs to make them fit without having to re&re the entire air-bags from the LGT seats? Thanks in advance
DRoc7822
Im not sure if this would help but I found this thread that may shed some light on your seat belt issue. legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/install-heated-sti-seats-into-lgt-reletively-painless-103465.html Remove the plastic bolsters from each side of the seat (that covers the seat-back hinges). Now you can remove the seat back from the bottom frame using a 15mm socket wrench. (NOTE: Make sure the seat back is fully in it's upright position (think airplane) as to make bolting back on ALOT easier. These spring loaded hinges are a pain in the neck to re-align if you do not. Set seat back to the side. Then remove the seat belt from the frame using a star wrench (or if you're like me and don't have the star wrench, a pair of channel locks around the outside of the bolt) Bolt your seatbelt. NOTE: When doing this by the car, make sure you don't have twists in the seatbelt and insure the plastic bolster is slipped back onto seatbelt itself. Refer pic #6. Then bolt the back of the seat onto the bottom. Now you can slip the plastic bolster back into place. Pop it onto the front and screw the back two screws back in. As for the airbags... they are different. But I guess they do plug in. Your airbag light will stay on though. Some black tape can take care of that if it bugs you that much. I know Naylor has these same seats in his 05 wagon...so contact him if you need more assistance. He helped answer some of my questions.
