kmolleson
Does anybody know if the HID projector headlamps from a 2001 JSPEC B4 will fit on an 05 US spec Legacy GT? The guy I sold my twin-turbo B4 to in Japan was rear-ended and the car was totaled. If these fit i'm going to have him send them to me.
SCHM1AN
The 05 Legacy GTs already have halogen projectors. Putting HID projectors in a car with halogens is going to be moving in the opposite direction. The RetroFit Source has some good options for a full HID system with upgraded projectors and bulbs. The headlights for Japan are for cars driving on the left side, you will need headlights for cars driving on the right side. This since the light projection is asymmetric. Using the wrong headlights will definitely annoy meeting traffic. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploads19/ScreenShot0441317676567.jpg
SCHM1AN
Correct, and the cutoff will be reversed, so you will have to re-aim your headlights. Overall, I would not recommend it
ehsnils
Re-aiming will not be sufficient - you will need to flip the cutoff in the headlights and that means that you have to bake them.
