burnout8488
Is some sort of inline reducer necessary for the radiator hoses? The inlet/outlets on the Mishimoto appear to be much smaller than the hoses - are the hoses squeezed so as to reduce their diameter due to the wrong sized fittings on the radiator? CEVENN
Hi. Can you tell us the exact rad model? Do you had to make some mods (fix, hoses) to match your car? I have to check on my car (2007 3.0R Spec B 5EAT) but i think it can't match, my car have 2 thermo instead of 1 for my last 2004 3.0R Spec B 6MT. CEVENN
Kobemotorsports radiator seems to come soon... https://www.kobemotorsport.shop/post/r-d-subaru-liberty-outback-gen-iv-h6-3-0l-ez30-aluminium-radiator They answered me: "At the moment we don’t have a ETA, but we are hoping before the mid year. We will keep our Facebook page and website updated with progress."
meloman
Hi, So mine is installed ! There are a lot of modifications that need to be made for it to fit properly. First of all, order a STI08+ Mishimoto (for example this one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/402040571697). Of course you'll need to replace the 38mm intake by 2 intakes of 28mm. http://meloman.ch/leg30/IMG-20211231-WA0003.jpg After that, an adaptation of the fans is necessary, not only at the top as on the pictures of Valadares, but also at the bottom so that the fans are as close as possible to the radiator and so that they do not touch the engine once all is in place. 1. The fan support should be fixed behind the mishimoto's thread, in order to gain a few millimeters. http://meloman.ch/leg30/fixation-1.jpg 2. You have to cut a part of the fans at the bottom so that it fits. This way the fans will be placed against the radiator, both at the top and at the bottom. http://meloman.ch/leg30/IMG_20220125_1035336_1.jpg Finally, you will need to cut the hoses 1.5 - 2.0 cm at the radiator side. Here are some photos and videos to help you see for yourself what work awaits you : http://meloman.ch/leg30 Especially this video which shows the entire finished work : http://meloman.ch/leg30/MOV_20220125_1135314.mp4 And this video shows all fits and not touching engine : http://meloman.ch/leg30/MOV_20220125_1147259.mp4 Hop it will help some of you. Have fun. Edited January 31, 2022 by meloman adding some links
