Bad OEM suspension?

Hi all,

I've searched but keep pulling up aftermarket issues or people going from stock to aftermarket-

So I just took a huge hit getting new tires due to way premature failure on my Contintentals :| $700 in the hole, now about 500 miles later I'm noticing a ton of noise from the front of my car. I most certainly have a loud defined knock on the front right side when I hit any bump at any speed.. I'll see if I can tighten end links tomorrow as some have had success with..

Other issue is that I now hear my car creaking (and the accompanying knock or chatter) when I'm coming to stops. About a week ago I would notice it at drive-thrus, window down and cruising up alongside the wall of the building. Now it's even with windows up and air conditioner blowing I hear the creakyness of the car coming to stops - people have been looking at me in traffic or from the sidewalk  Sounds like two fat people going at it on a 30 year old mattress- even car off when I'm standing up out of the car I hear it creak along with me.

SO, I don't know what the hell that's about but the car rides incredibly rough - like worse than my 1992 tire-tucking 'lowered on crappy components' POS Honda Prelude. I thought a lot of my tracking and unsteadyness on the road was due to the tires - then with the new ones I was still all over the place, especially on grooved pavement on the interestate. Like..someone to avoid if you see them driving next to you. Figured new tires would break in and improve - nada. Like keeping a dog in the bath tub to drive.

I do not want anything of exceptional quality with lowering performance, etc, but I guess I may need both the spring and strut for both sides? I can't find any OEM average quality listings for this.. I just want your cheap auto parts store setup so I don't die going to work.

Any suggestions on where to look, what to get, similar experiences? 110,000 miles and just looking to keep it running/live. Thanks!

The creaking could be your sway bars in need of lube. Dry metal rubbing on rubber.

Sounds like you need new struts for sure. Especially if you're still on the original ones. KYB GR2's are basically a stock replacement.

If you can swing 'em the Koni inserts will work great with your stock springs.
