andomy Posted May 25, 2012 Share Posted May 25, 2012 Need help. Bought a '99 lgt and found the speedo works only intermittently. After some research, found this is very common with '99's. Previous owner obviously was aware of this also, as he tried to repair by wedging a screw at the back of the speedo connector , pressing it against the pcb board, thus making a tighter connection. Anyway, i found a speedo from a '97 lgt which i plugged in and it does not work. Only difference i see is that the blue plug on the 99 uses only one wire at the center pin of the connector, while the 97 has two wires, one also in the center position and another in the outermost 5th position.
