Gmn Posted May 23, 2012 Share Posted May 23, 2012 The problem is intermittent. it happens when the weather is warm and is worse when it's hot. we bought it last September and it started doing it the same week we bought it. In the winter it was fine and now it's doing it again. It won't start it doesn't even turn over. it just makes a clicking sound. A friend recommended changing the battery and starter so I did but it still continues. I took the car to a dealer today and they told me the belt that runs the alternator was bad and that that was the problem so they changed it and the car did start but when we left we stopped for gas and it wouldn't start. The only way we can get it running is to jump start it. I am really confused about this and have searched online but can't find any help. If anyone has any insight I would greatly appreciate it.
