bensonae Posted July 11, 2005 Share Posted July 11, 2005 OK-I had 225/45 17 bfg kdw2s put on my car last week(125 on tirerack)-impressions vs. the stock re92s 1)better ride-probably due to slightly higher sidewall 2)i can not fell differnce in steering response loss form sidewall change 3)much much better wet grip-drive from mahattan to greenwihc, ct twice a day and Friday drove in torrent-no hydroplaning at all. where re92s would slip and scare me bfds were supremely stable. 4) dry grip-phenomenal-where re92s squealed bfgs do not even whimper-grip is much improved-the tires will get sticky enough to grab and spit upa bit of gravel if you travel over any- 5)re92s were noticebaly quieter-bfgs are not loud but they definitely make a few decibels more of noise especially over 50 mph. all in all-very pleased-hate the re92s that much more now.
