CousinLarry Posted May 21, 2012 Share Posted May 21, 2012 Has anyone tried welding an E-cutout to the stock downpipe?! So you could run full stock exhaust but open it up when you want.. I had a 1998 Camaro SS with an e-cutout and I loved it. I wonder though if you could run the stage 2 map at all times with it open and closed? Any downsides? bmx045 Posted May 21, 2012 Share Posted May 21, 2012 no. you would gain 0 horseforces. look at the flat plate on the stock downpipe, there's your answer. you cant run stage 2 on the stock dp unless you gut it out, that can give you a little more room to work your way up on boost, the flow is still decently restricted because of the plate Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
