FroMan
I live in the NE I have to be able to pass an emissions test on my car. My understanding is that CT hooks it up to a computer and reads the OBDII system. My current intentions are to change out all the factory exhaust parts with aftermarket pieces. AP w/ clear CEL's on the dash, but will it be able to fool the computer into thinking that the system is running within normal parameters to pass the test?? I do not want to put this system on and then have to tear it all off in a few years simply to pass emissions.
franklin
Here in Pa. they normally run the cars on a dyno and sniffer them. They dont have the dynos for AWD so they just check for CEL's and OBDII codes. Your best bet is to contact the inspection place you go to and ask what tests they run on AWD cars. Here if they can disengage the AWD they do and dyno the cars. If its full time AWD and cant be disenguaged = CEL's and OBDII only. If thats the case your car should pass. Franklin
