UI Vandal
What are you hoping to gain with an intake? Do you have an Open Port cable to monitor air fuel ratios? If the first answer is more power, there are better and safer ways. If the answer to the second answer is no, I would skip an intake. Save you money for more useful upgrades. newlisbonlegacy
That's what I was figuring. I've heard the stock intake is perfectly fine until you install stage 2. Just always liked the look of an after market intake....but like you said, I ought to save my money till I install stage 2 lol
I Donated thefultonhow Posted April 20, 2012 I Donated Share Posted April 20, 2012 I'm Stage 3 with the stock intake. An intake doesn't give you anything whatsoever until you max out the stock MAF, at which point you need a bigger MAF along with that intake. ColdBore
Af intake is useful at racecar levels after exhausting every other way to squeeze out power.
newlisbonlegacy
I was never much of a "gear head" untill i was in the military lol. My roomate/co worker had a WRX and I would always attempt to help him out when he wanted to install a new part. Now i'm wanting to learn more and more about it. This forum has helped out a bunch!
