Vent Pod + mechanical gauge(How to sticky)

I was originally going to run the pro sport boost gauge but changed my mind for a mechanical one. I was fond of the vent pod so thats what I purchased. Come to find out there is no way in hell that a mechanical boost gauge will work due to the vac line and fitting extending into the rear base of the pod. With that being said some modification was needed.

 

Here you see I had to dremel a notch out and remove some of the inside to make fit. Note superglue applied to the outside and the rubber itself was ziptied to the brass fitting where you would screw on the crush fitting if you were going to use the nylon line at the base. I did it backwards and gave me more flexibility.

Next the vent itself had to be notched to allow the vac line clearance to prevent pinching. Note the hole on the right to allow the vac line and wires to feed threw.

I used add a fuse off the illumination port on the fuse block to illuminate the boost gauge when the lights were turned on. Note the rubber to connect the two vac lines. I applied superglue to the outside just incase it decided to blow off.

This is where I tapped off to get my readings.

Run the line threw the side fender.

Then connect to the nylon that goes threw the side grommet. Note I applied superglue to the outsides as well.

For a bulb I used a 194 5led bulb. One center and 4 outer leds was the brightest I had.

Not too much of the notch shows. So its no big deal to me.
