captainobvious
So Saturday my friend and I put in my new Perrin Turbo inlet, and one step colder NGK plugs, Gapped properly with the tool. It seems now the car is stalling out at idle after running a little bit, but it starts right back up, but the CEL comes on and the cruise starts flashing. Codes that get thrown is P0700 and P0725. Car is rolling when it happens. I have a stage2 tune done, and my friend who owns an STI who did the work thinks the plugs need a larger gap. What does everyone else think? BAC5.2
P0700 and P0725 are Trans related codes. There's a good chance you unplugged something you shouldn't have. And just because your friend has an STi does not make him car knowledgeable. And 1-step colder plugs require tuning. They are entirely unnecessary. Cloud_a4
If you can't find anything unplugged try putting the other ones back in and seeing if the problem goes away.
captainobvious
Thats what i was thinking. I needed to do new plugs and got the one step colder to go with the stage 2 tune. I can always go with the stock ones. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk

Now comes the part of back tracking and finding the issue Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk Are you sure? He thought widening the gap on a colder plug would solve a Trans code... Put stock plugs in at the right gap and make sure nothing is unplugged. captainobvious
No we set the gap as we took them out of the box. Im swapping in new stock plugs as we speak and hope that it fixes the issue. If not ill check the turbo inlet tube we installed that day too. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk
captainobvious
Think i found the issue as a boost leak after we put the perrin inlet pipe on.driving home from work and i stayed out of boost and the car didnt stall once.
