82DMC12
Hey all, I have a spare JL 12" in a box with a 250 watt alpine amp. I want to add it to my factory system. I do have the factory sub which I would probably uninstall. What's the quickest way to hook up the trunk sub? Tie into a rear speaker in the door? Use the factory sub wiring? What additional parts would I need? Been a long time since I put any stereo stuff in a car! Andy
dsickles
youll want to use a line to output convert the speaker signal to a lower level rca output, most will also allow you to adjust levels and frequency. I suggest using the rear speakers if you have navigation, that way the sub will shut off when a navi prompt comes up.
82DMC12
Cool, do I just wire it up in parallel to a single speaker, like the driver side rear speaker, or do I need to tap into both sides?
82DMC12
Ok well my amp has speaker level inputs so i ordered an adapter from ebay so i can use it. Does anyone have a write up for running wires from the door speakers to the trunk? How would I use the remote sense lead?
