kens97sto171 Posted April 5, 2012 Share Posted April 5, 2012 I Got the stuff in the mail from DDM Tuning. Shipping was decently fast. Although the USPS tracking system still has not updated. Everything was in the box that I ordered and in good condition. I did the install on the Legacy tonight. Other than drilling a hole in the light covers no modifications were needed. I ordered the harness, adapter cables, and mounts. I ended up not needing any of that.. But I was not sure. and they were cheap, and did not want to need them and not have them. The harness may come in handy for something else. Nice long wires with relays in them. The lights look great... just a tiny bit too blue for my taste. But certainly NOT that terrible RICER blue. I drove around a little and so far no one has flashed me. I did NOT alter the housings in any way. The light cutoff seems the same as before, just more light below the cutoff line. I took some pictures, pre and post install. I did not get the cars position exactly correct. And the car is elevated at the top of a hill looking down a bit. the same in both pictures. I also took a shot pointing directly at the garage door, But was not able to do that shot tonight. I will update when I get that shot... it will tell more accurately if the aim is off or too bright. Or is the reason that the ballast draw a lot at startup? I only ordered the "harness" because I was not sure if I would need it or not. Thanks..
