Miracle Worker
Bought a used SPT exhaust and in the process of installing it I had the great idea to remove the ring gasket from the cat... Needless to say I should have remembered how difficult it was to remove it from the last exhaust install I did, I should have left it alone. The problem is I have 80% of the old ring gasket off and the replacement ring gasket doesn't look like it would fit. Part# is 44011AE031 which I received from the dealership. I also noticed in the box of goodies I got with the exhaust there is a large gasket which looks like it connects the intermediate pipe to the cat. Do you need both ring and flat gaskets? scoobydoobie
Just the donut gasket if you are installing with the stock DP.
Miracle Worker
Everything else is stock, but the SPT mid-pipe diameter is large and it doesn't seem like the donut gasket would even touch anything unlike the stock exhaust where it sits up against it. scoobydoobie
The SPT mid has a taper inside the pipe, look at it and you will see. This lets you get a tight connection using the donut gasket/spring bolts.
