Wheels that clear 4 pots

Recommended Posts

When looking for wheels to clear my 4 pots I couldn't find much info and it was pretty frustrating.

I did come across a Japanese page with some info that I'll post up here but I'd like to get others to add to it so we can get a good database. I'll be adding pics and cleaning it up in the future so bear with me.

The current way to read it (would like to make it an easier to read table but not sure how to do it in a forum post) is...

BRAND

Wheel name

clear 4 pots ○ = yes, x = no, - = unsure

offset

Well I tried to add pics for each wheel, took ages, but there's a limit of 20... any way around that? Can I add links instead?

Edit: On second thought, 55 pics is too many, can I add 55 links though?

Also it would be great if people could add the info in a similar format because I don't know much about wheels, will make it easier for me to add.

Brand

Wheel name (17" or 18")

Clear 4 pots yes/no/? Brembos yes/no/?

offset

weight

mesh or spoked

extra info: stock rims (from which car) or aftermarket, forged or cast etc.

this doesn't really help much

define 4 pot?

you need width of the wheel + spoke design to find out whether it clears, offset doesn't help much, if at all...

17" wheels clears MOST of the BBK diameter wise, unless you are talking about some HUGE BBK that requires 18" to clear, but won't be something most ordinary people gets

You know it's probably more help to those of us with JDM cars as the 4 pot conversion is very common and a straight bolt on. Thinking about it now, you guys probably call it an STi brake conversion or something, 294mm rotors and Subaru 4 pots from the Impreza and various other Subarus, I've been pointed in the direction of a NASIOC thread that lists wheels that clear Brembos so I'll be adding that info too.

Subaru 4 pots.

The width is pretty much a given knowing the model, diameter, offset and bolt pattern/PCD.

Spoke design is what this is all about.

This info is from people who have fitted these wheels over Subaru 4 pots.

No I'm talking width of the caliper, stock GT-B rims don't fit over Subaru 4 pots. Again, JDM focussed so for those of us in Japan, Canada, the UK, Australia and NZ and perhaps not much use to the US based members but it can't hurt having it here.
